Asphalt & Bitumen Services, Perth Wide

From a single driveway to a full road build, we handle asphalt paving, bitumen sprayed sealing, resurfacing and repairs for homes, businesses, industrial sites and civil projects across Perth and regional Western Australia.

What we offer

What We Can Do

Strata Surfacing covers the full range of asphalt and bitumen work — new surfaces, resurfacing, sealing and repairs. Some weeks that means a suburban driveway; other weeks it is a car park, a depot hardstand or a stretch of council road. The approach does not change: we look at the site first, sort out the base and the drainage, then choose a mix and a build-up that suits the traffic the surface has to carry. You get a straight quote, a crew that turns up, and a finish that is checked before we leave.

Asphalt

Hot mix asphalt laid over a compacted base and rolled while it is still workable, so the surface knits together properly. Suits driveways, car parks and roads that need a smooth, sealed finish able to handle daily traffic and Perth weather.

Driveways

New asphalt and spray-seal driveways for homes, farms and rural blocks, finished neatly at the edges and shaped so water runs off. Easy to sweep, easy to look after, and far kinder on tyres and suspension than loose gravel.

Road Construction

Full road builds for subdivisions, private estates, rural properties and council work. We handle the earthworks, base courses, kerbing where it is required and the final surface, so one crew carries the job from cleared ground through to open road.

Hot Spray & Seal Bitumen

Sprayed bitumen with an aggregate cover, applied over a prepared base. A practical way to seal larger areas such as rural driveways, access tracks and country roads, giving a firm, skid-resistant surface that keeps dust and loose stone down.

Asphalt & Surfacing

Larger surfacing and resurfacing programs for commercial premises, developments and civil sites. We plan the work around your access and trading hours, staging it in sections so gates, loading docks and parking keep operating while we are on site.

Hardstands

Heavy-duty pavements for depots, machinery yards, laydown areas and wash bays. The base is built up to match the loads it will carry, so the surface holds its shape under trucks, forklifts and stacked material instead of rutting.

Profiling Solutions

Milling machines remove worn or uneven layers to an exact depth, leaving a clean, level platform. Useful where kerb heights and door thresholds have to stay put, and where an old surface needs taking back before a new one goes on.

Pothole & Grading

Potholes cut out square, cleaned and filled properly rather than topped up, plus grading to reshape a surface that has lost its falls. Restores an even run for vehicles and stops water pooling where the damage started.

Asphalt Crack Sealing

Cracks let water into the base, which is what turns a small problem into an expensive one. We clean the crack out, seal it and finish it flush — a cheap job now compared with resurfacing the whole area later on.

Road Repairs

Patch repairs, edge breaks, failed sections and worn surfaces on private roads, estate streets and council roads. We cut back to sound material, rebuild the layers that failed and match the new work neatly into the existing surface.

Learn More

Road Markings

Line marking for car parks, access roads and work areas — bays, arrows, give-way lines, accessible spaces and hatching. Clear markings keep traffic moving the right way and make a site easier and safer for everyone to use.

Asphalt

Asphalt work, start to finish

Asphalt is the bulk of what we do. That covers new paving over prepared ground, resurfacing where the existing pavement is still sound underneath, and repairs where only part of a surface has failed.

Driveways, car parks, private roads and estate streets all follow the same sequence — check the falls, correct the base, lay the right mix at the right depth, then compact it while it is hot. Finishing is where most of the difference shows, so edges, joins and transitions into existing concrete or kerbing are cut and rolled by hand. What we recommend depends on what the site actually needs, not on what is quickest to quote.

Sprayed seal for bigger areas

Sprayed sealing is bitumen applied hot and covered with aggregate, then rolled in to lock it down. It suits larger areas where a full asphalt pavement is more than the job needs — rural driveways, farm and station access roads, country roads, yards and overflow parking.

The result is a firm, sealed surface that keeps dust and loose stone under control and gives tyres something to grip. It works best over a well-prepared, well-drained base, so we check the ground first and build it up where it needs it. For areas that see heavy or slow-turning traffic we will usually recommend asphalt instead — and we will say so.

Repairs & maintenance

Fix it before it spreads

Most surface failures start small — a hairline crack, a soft edge, a pothole after heavy rain. Left alone, water gets into the base and the repair gets a lot bigger and a lot dearer.

We look at why the damage happened before deciding what to do, because patching over a drainage problem only buys a few months. Depending on what we find that might mean crack sealing, cutting out and rebuilding a failed section, regrading to restore the falls, or resurfacing an area that is past patching. Whichever it is, the affected area gets cleaned back and prepared properly first.

Residential

Driveways and home surfaces

If you are tired of grading gravel or dodging potholes on the way to the shed, a sealed driveway sorts it out for good. We lay new asphalt and spray-seal driveways, private access roads, turning areas and parking bays, and we repair or reseal surfaces you already have.

We work around the household, protect garden beds and paving while we are there, keep the site safe, and tell you exactly when you can drive on it. Most home jobs are finished and cleaned up inside a couple of days.

Commercial & industrial

Car parks, yards and access roads

Car parks, forecourts, service yards, depot hardstands, access roads and estate streets. On a working site the surfacing is only half the job — the other half is keeping you open while we do it.

We plan access and staging first, work in sections or outside trading hours where that suits, and keep signage and traffic control in place so staff, customers and delivery vehicles can still get around. Base build-up and drainage are set to the loads the area actually carries, and the site is left clean and ready to mark out or use.

How a job runs

Four Steps From Call To Completion

01

Discuss Your Project

Tell us what the surface is, how it gets used and what is going wrong with it. A phone call is usually enough to start.

02

Assess the Site

We come out, check the ground, falls and drainage, measure up and work out the right build-up. Then you get an itemised quote.

03

Prepare & Complete

Excavation, base work and drainage first, then the surface laid and compacted properly, with edges and joins finished by hand.

04

Final Inspection

We walk the job with you, check levels and edges, clear the site and let you know when it is ready to take traffic.

Why choose our services

What You Actually Get

01

Preparation Done First

We fix the base and the drainage before anything is laid, because that is what decides whether a surface lasts five years or fifteen.

02

The Right Mix

Mix type and depth are matched to the traffic an area carries, so a home driveway is not built like a truck yard, or the other way round.

03

One Crew Throughout

The people who quote your job are the people who do it. Nothing is handed on and nothing gets lost between contractors.

04

Straight Answers

If a repair will not hold, or an area needs more work than you hoped, we tell you before we start rather than after.

05

Sites Kept Safe

Signage, traffic control and a tidy work area each day, so households, staff and customers can move around the job without trouble.

06

Driveways To Civil

The same team handles a single driveway or a full road build, so your contractor does not have to change as a project grows.

Common questions

Questions We Get Asked

If your question is not here, give us a call on 1300 388 740 and we will talk it through.

Anything from a single residential driveway through to car parks, depot hardstands, private estate roads and council work. We handle new surfaces, resurfacing over sound pavement, and repairs to areas that have failed. If you are not sure which of those your site needs, we will come out and tell you.

Often, yes. If the base underneath is still sound, potholes and failed sections can be cut out and rebuilt, and cracks can be sealed before water gets in. Where the damage is widespread or the base has gone, resurfacing works out better value than repeated patching.

Yes, driveways are a big part of our work. We lay both hot mix asphalt and sprayed seal, plus turning areas, parking bays and private access roads. We will let you know which option suits your block, your budget and the way the driveway gets used.

We do. Car parks, forecourts, service yards, laydown areas, access roads and estate streets are all regular work for us. On operating sites we stage the job in sections or work outside trading hours, so your gates, docks and parking keep functioning while we are there.

Preparation is most of the job. Depending on the site that can mean excavating to depth, correcting the falls so water runs off, importing and compacting base material in layers, and sorting out drainage. Skipping any of that is the usual reason a surface fails early.

Yes. Sprayed sealing is bitumen applied hot with an aggregate cover, and it suits larger areas such as rural driveways, access tracks and country roads where a full asphalt pavement is more than the job requires. It does need a well-prepared, well-drained base to perform.

Yes, both. Cracks get cleaned out and sealed so water cannot reach the base. Potholes are cut back square, cleared of loose material and filled properly rather than topped up, which is why a patch done that way tends to stay put.

Call 1300 388 740 or send the details through the form on this page. Tell us where the site is, roughly how big the area is and how it gets used. We will arrange a time to come out, take a look and put an itemised price together.

Get your surface sorted properly

Whether it is a driveway that has seen better days, a car park due for resurfacing or a road that needs building from scratch, we are happy to come out and take a look. Tell us about the site and we will put an honest price together — no obligation.
