What we offer

What We Can Do

Strata Surfacing covers the full range of asphalt and bitumen work — new surfaces, resurfacing, sealing and repairs. Some weeks that means a suburban driveway; other weeks it is a car park, a depot hardstand or a stretch of council road. The approach does not change: we look at the site first, sort out the base and the drainage, then choose a mix and a build-up that suits the traffic the surface has to carry. You get a straight quote, a crew that turns up, and a finish that is checked before we leave.

Asphalt

Hot mix asphalt laid over a compacted base and rolled while it is still workable, so the surface knits together properly. Suits driveways, car parks and roads that need a smooth, sealed finish able to handle daily traffic and Perth weather.

Hot Spray & Seal Bitumen

Sprayed bitumen with an aggregate cover, applied over a prepared base. A practical way to seal larger areas such as rural driveways, access tracks and country roads, giving a firm, skid-resistant surface that keeps dust and loose stone down.

Asphalt & Surfacing

Larger surfacing and resurfacing programs for commercial premises, developments and civil sites. We plan the work around your access and trading hours, staging it in sections so gates, loading docks and parking keep operating while we are on site.

Hardstands

Heavy-duty pavements for depots, machinery yards, laydown areas and wash bays. The base is built up to match the loads it will carry, so the surface holds its shape under trucks, forklifts and stacked material instead of rutting.

Profiling Solutions

Milling machines remove worn or uneven layers to an exact depth, leaving a clean, level platform. Useful where kerb heights and door thresholds have to stay put, and where an old surface needs taking back before a new one goes on.

Pothole & Grading

Potholes cut out square, cleaned and filled properly rather than topped up, plus grading to reshape a surface that has lost its falls. Restores an even run for vehicles and stops water pooling where the damage started.

Asphalt Crack Sealing

Cracks let water into the base, which is what turns a small problem into an expensive one. We clean the crack out, seal it and finish it flush — a cheap job now compared with resurfacing the whole area later on.

Road Repairs

Patch repairs, edge breaks, failed sections and worn surfaces on private roads, estate streets and council roads. We cut back to sound material, rebuild the layers that failed and match the new work neatly into the existing surface.

Road Markings

Line marking for car parks, access roads and work areas — bays, arrows, give-way lines, accessible spaces and hatching. Clear markings keep traffic moving the right way and make a site easier and safer for everyone to use.

Our Expertise

Professional Bitumen Spray Seal Across Perth

Gravel driveways and unsealed roads wash out each winter, and potholes soon follow. Our bitumen spray seal stops that cycle for good. First, we grade and compact your base and apply a prime coat where the surface needs it. We then spray hot bitumen binder at the correct temperature and viscosity, spread aggregate at a measured rate, and use a pneumatic roller to bed each stone into place. For driveways and roads with regular traffic, we lay a two-coat bitumen spray seal, where smaller stone locks into the gaps of the first layer. As a result, you get a waterproof, skid-resistant surface for less than asphalt paving costs.

What We Cover

Comprehensive Spray Seal Solutions Across WA

Every site in Western Australia needs a different seal, so we match the treatment to your traffic, soil and budget. For homeowners, our residential bitumen spray sealing gives driveways a neat stone finish that suits Perth’s sandy blocks. On farms and hilly properties, we seal long access tracks that loose gravel cannot hold together. Meanwhile, businesses and councils rely on our bitumen road sealing for car parks, industrial yards, subdivisions and local roads. We also reseal worn surfaces, which adds years of life without the cost of a rebuild.

Why Choose Bitumen Spray Sealing

Perth summers regularly climb past 40°C, and winter storms find every weak spot in an unsealed surface. A durable bitumen seal handles both. The binder stays flexible in the heat, so the surface resists cracks, while the stone layer sheds water and keeps your base firm underneath. Compared with road base alone, a sealed driveway stops dust, ruts and loose gravel. Compared with asphalt, spray seal costs less upfront and suits long or rural stretches. Better still, a low-maintenance bitumen seal needs little upkeep, and a two-coat seal typically lasts 10 to 15 years with sound base preparation.

Frequently Asked Questions

Bitumen sealing is a surface treatment where hot bitumen binder is applied over a prepared base, and crushed stone follows immediately. A roller then presses the stone into the binder. Together, they form a waterproof, skid-resistant layer that protects the pavement underneath.

A single-coat seal usually lasts around 8 to 10 years, while a two-coat seal often reaches 10 to 15 years. Base quality, drainage and traffic all affect that figure. A timely reseal, before the surface wears through, adds years more life.

Each suits a different job. Asphalt gives a smoother finish and a longer life, but it costs more upfront. A bitumen spray seal costs less, flexes with ground movement and suits long driveways, rural roads and large areas where budget matters most.

Yes. A gravel driveway is one of the most common surfaces we seal. We first reshape and compact the gravel into a firm, well-drained base. After that, we spray the binder and add aggregate, which turns loose gravel into a sealed, dust-free surface.

A two-coat seal places two layers of binder and aggregate. The first uses a larger stone, and the second uses a smaller stone that fills the gaps between them. This tighter, thicker surface handles daily car movement and suits most residential driveways.

Bitumen sealing cost depends on the area size, the condition of your base, site access, and whether you need a single- or two-coat seal. Larger areas generally cost less per square metre. We inspect your site and give you a written quote.

Road base alone gives a firm surface, but rain softens it, wheels rut it, and dust rises every summer. A bitumen seal over that same road base locks it in place and keeps water out. As a result, the base lasts far longer.

You can usually walk on a new seal straight away and use it for light vehicle traffic the same day. For the first few weeks, avoid sharp turns and heavy loads. Some loose stone will appear early on, which we sweep away afterwards.
